Foot Surgery
Mr Palmer foot surgeon has been performing sub-specialist foot surgery in Sussex for over 20 years. Prior to this he was fortunate to work at the prestigious Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre on the Oxford foot and ankle service as a Consultant and spent time at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and sports medicine centre as a foot and ankle visiting fellow.
As a specialist Mr. Palmer continues to benefit his patients by developing and innovating in the area of minimally invasive foot surgery to improve healing times and recovery with his patients.
Mr Palmer offers bunion surgery (hallux valgus correction), toe correction, Morton's neuroma treatment, tendon reconstruction , great toe arthroscopy (key hole surgery), fusions and replacements for painful arthritis, plantar fasciitis treatment and miscellaneous procedures.
Mr Palmer also performs trauma surgery for his local NHS Trust. Mr Palmer set up the Sussex Shockwave clinic for the treatment of tendinitis conditions and is also a specialist foot surgeon in minimally invasive foot surgery.
Mr Palmer runs his clinics in Brighton, Worthing and Goring-By-Sea.
He also continues to supervise many research projects in these areas and trains junior surgeons and podiatrists in surgical techniques and is a Senior lecturer at the University of Sussex.

In 2018, I had an open bunionectomy, lateral release, Akin osteotomy and dorsal cheilectomy with Mr Palmer.
I wonder if you can pass on to him the fantastic impact that this operation had on my quality of life.
My husband and I share the hobby of travelling and walking (around 70-130 miles a month). Yesterday, as we were walking, my husband, Richard, commented,”…your operation was an investment in our quality of life – definitely not a cost”.
